Chia Seed Flour

Chia Seeds are good for our bodies on so many levels. It’s full of antioxidants, omega fatty acids, protein and fiber. It’s endless medicinal qualities are a reason why I try to incorporate them in my diet daily whether its sprinkling it on foods, baking with it, making chia pudding or making a chia smoothie. I decided to attempt a chia flour. Why not? Very easy to make…

1/4 cup whole chia seeds

Place seeds into a coffee grinder and grind into a powder. Use a bowl and a sifter or strainer to sift the flour through freeing it of ungrounded seeds, hence a smoother consistency. Easy as that. I would use a 1:3 ratio when baking to make certain the baked goods are not too dense then work your way up.
